Starting Plants #2

The other way I start seeds is to use egg cartons, I slice the top off punch holes in the bottom segments to drain excess water. Place the bottom half into the top half to catch the excess water draining from the top half. Put potting soil in each segment with one seed or seedling started in the Ziploc bag. water and wait for the plant to grow large enough to transplant into a pot or the ground depending on your situation.

STARTING PLANTS #1

There are a lot of starter kits on the market. They do work, but in my opinion they are a waste of money. I start all my seeds in ziplock bags ( sandwich) size. Soak a sheet of paper towel and fold in a seed or 2. Insert into the ziplock exhale into the bag (carbon dioxide all plants breath carbon dioxide)

Mango From Seed

On June 6, 2012 I showed you how to start a plant from seed, the seed I used was from a mango. This photo is of that seed, about 2 months. As soon as it produced roots and started it's trunk I planted it into a pot.
